Job Summary

The Desktop Engineer III would need to design, perform application packaging, operating system deployments and security patching of MS Windows 7 through 10, Office 2010 through 2016 and related third party applications. Additionally, the Desktop Engineer III will create and utilize test plans and test cases, as well as document and test technical and informational bulletins.

Education

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, B. Tech, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 7+ Years' experience designing, testing, integrating, upgrading, and support of Microsoft Windows Desktop applications and package engineering of MS Windows XP (legacy support), Windows 7-10, and Office 2010-2016 (and related third party applications)
  • Advanced proficiency designing, testing, integrating, upgrading, and support of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems
  • MS Windows PowerShell scripting
  • Advanced Proficiency and Group Policy expertise in design and support for workstations
  • Understanding of SCCM package deployment with 2-3 years' experience delivering applications, OS images and security patches via SCCM 2012 and above
  • Familiarity with general application packaging, delivery and virtualization software
  • Capable of providing technical desktop engineering practices, recommendations, advice, and enhancements from engagements of prior successful OS image/application integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Highly effective writing/verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently with minor supervision
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills (negotiation, team-building, positive thinking, can-do attitude, and a drive to learn)
  • Schedule flexibility when required for emergent issues
