The Temporary Live Productions Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, equipment preparation, inventory control, and returns processing. Working under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position assists with the preparation and de-preparation of rental equipment and touring productions while helping maintain inventory accuracy, equipment quality, and warehouse organization. This is an on-call, part-time role with a six-month contract and no guaranteed hours or assigned workdays.
Your day will look like this:
โ€ข Prepare, scan, pack, and stage equipment for transportation.
โ€ข Assist with preparing and de-preparing tours and rental orders as needed.
โ€ข Participate in loading and unloading trucks and equipment shipments.
โ€ข Ensure all returns are processed in a timely manner.
โ€ข Help coordinate equipment returns from receipt through quality control.
โ€ข Verify the accuracy, quality, and completeness of returned equipment.
โ€ข Clean and visually inspect returned equipment.
โ€ข Ensure all required accessories are included with equipment orders.
โ€ข Verify that cables and equipment are organized, counted, and scanned for inventory accuracy prior to returning them to the appropriate department.
โ€ข Perform cycle counts to help maintain inventory integrity.
โ€ข Assist in maintaining inventory control procedures and best practices.
โ€ข Communicate and assist departments in accounting for missing equipment or inventory discrepancies.
โ€ข Keep the warehouse, prep bays, and work areas organized and clean.
โ€ข Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the Warehouse Manager.
โ€ข Report any warehouse hazards or safety concerns.
โ€ข Assist in operational projects, changes, and moves as needed.
โ€ข Follow quality standards as well as company and industry standards of preparation.
โ€ข May be required to work in the following departments: Cable, Audio, Lighting, Video, Rigging, Networking, Shipping & Receiving, Returns, and Warehouse Operations.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Your profile:
โ€ข High School Diploma or GED.
โ€ข No prior experience required.
โ€ข Experience in a warehouse, logistics, customer service, or live event environment preferred
โ€ข Knowledge of inventory software is an asset.
โ€ข Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
โ€ข Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
โ€ข Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
โ€ข Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear way.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
โ€ข Good ability to self-start and prioritize within tight deadlines.
โ€ข Forklift certification is an asset.
