The Audio/Video Conference Room Support Technician is responsible for supporting conference room technology across multiple campus locations. This role provides installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for audio/visual equipment while ensuring conference rooms are fully operational for daily meetings and events.
The technician will assist with conference room modernization projects, provide meeting support, and troubleshoot both A/V and basic desktop hardware and software issues. This position requires a mechanically inclined professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to travel between campus buildings throughout the day.
AUDIO/VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM SUPPORT TECHNICIANS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and break/fix support for conference room audio/video equipment
  • Remove, replace, and repair ceiling-mounted DLP projectors and related A/V hardware
  • Install temporary loaner equipment when systems require repair or replacement
  • Assist with Conference Room Modernization (CRM) projects, including running cables, mounting screens, and supporting A/V installations
  • Diagnose and resolve conference room technology issues to minimize downtime
  • Provide meeting setup support and assist users with conference room technology
  • Deliver on-site support for high-visibility and complex meetings
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, display, connectivity, and presentation issues during meetings
  • Diagnose and remediate basic desktop hardware and software issues
  • Identify root causes of technical problems and implement effective solutions
  • Document support activities and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Travel between campus locations multiple times per day to support users and conference room technology

THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
  • Experience supporting audio/video conference room technologies and equipment
  • Working knowledge of DLP projectors, displays, presentation systems, and related A/V technologies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
  • Proven troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic desktop hardware and software issues
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support priorities

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ROLE:
  • Ability to lift, move, and install A/V equipment as required
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between campus locations as required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain current automobile insurance
  • Pay: up to $22.00 per hour
