Job Summary
The experimental heavy ion group at at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a Temporary Researcher!

Who We Are
The experimental heavy ion group at the University of Colorado Boulder has leading roles in the sPHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, and is a member of the ePIC experiment at the future Electron Ion Collider. The group is led by Professors Jamie Nagle and Dennis Perepelitsa. We place a strong emphasis on the scientific productivity and career development of junior group members.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • The position is to carry out specialized data curation and machine learning analysis as part of the Department of Energy Genesis project at the University of Colorado Boulder.

What You Should Know
  • The position is expected to start on September 1, 2026.

The hourly range for this position is $19.23 - $21.63.

What We Require
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in physics, math, or computer science.
  • Specialized knowledge in machine learning techniques.
