Job description

Senior UX/UI Designer - Temporary - (REMOTE)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to serve as the strategic lead for our digital product ecosystem. You will be the internal authority on user behavior, interface standards, and the integration of emerging AI technologies. Your goal is to ensure that our complex, multi-platform journeys are cohesive, accessible, and intelligently personalized.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Design Leadership: Define the overarching UX vision and UI design language for our omnichannel ecosystem, ensuring a seamless transition for users moving between web, mobile, and voice/AI touchpoints.
  • Data Visualization & Dashboarding: Architect sophisticated, user-facing analytics tools. You will lead the "Information Design" strategy-deciding how to visualize complex metrics so they are glanceable, actionable, and visually cohesive.
  • AI Experience Orchestration: Lead the design strategy for AI-driven features. You will define how we handle AI transparency, trust, "hallucination" states, and proactive system suggestions.
  • Design Systems Governance: Oversee and evolve a scalable Design System that maintains brand integrity while supporting data-heavy components across all platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as the bridge between Product, Engineering, and Stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into high-level user flows and intuitive wireframes.
  • User Research & Validation: Direct usability testing and competitive analysis to ensure our AI and analytics implementations solve real user pain points rather than just adding "tech for tech's sake."

Core Competencies
  • Expertise: 7+ years of experience in UX Strategy, Interaction Design, or Product Design.
  • Analytics & Data Storytelling: Mastery of data visualization principles; ability to reduce cognitive load while presenting "dense" information through intuitive charts and KPIs.
  • Omnichannel Mastery: Deep understanding of maintaining "state" and context for a user as they transition across different devices and platforms.
  • AI/Cognitive Design: Experience designing for Generative AI or Predictive Analytics, focusing on the psychology of human-AI interaction (trust, feedback loops, and agency).
  • Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.

The Healthcare "Stretch" (Preferred)
  • Clinical/Patient Empathy: Experience designing for high-stakes environments where data privacy (HIPAA) and cognitive load are critical.
  • Complex Data Architecture: A background in making "dense" healthcare data (EHRs, lab results, or insurance claims) simple and actionable for the end-user.

Who You Are
  • Systems Thinker: You look at the "big picture" before diving into the pixels.
  • Communicator: You can explain the why behind a design decision to an executive audience.
  • Evidence-Based Designer: You are passionate about using real-world analytics to iterate on the user experience.
  • Mentor: You enjoy raising the "design IQ" of the entire organization.

With your application: Please share your portfolio, specifically highlighting examples of user-facing dashboards and or AI-driven interfaces.
