Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor's degree in related field. Four years of experience in a related field (counseling preferred). Training or professional experience in social work, case management, strengths-based coaching, or student success support preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs moderately complex administrative and supervisory program work for the Office of the Dean - College of Education. Plays a critical part in designing and implementing innovative Grow Your Own (GYO) pathways that will meet critical educator needs for the partnership. Supports GYO apprentices to persist in the pathway, plana and co-facilitates monthly cohort meetings, track GYO apprentice progress, and report on GYO apprentice progress to key school system and university stakeholders.
This is a part-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position working 20 hours per week expected to end on or before 05/31/2027. Specific hours and workdays to be determined. Continuation of this position is contingent upon continued funding.
Primary Responsibilities
Develops agendas, activities, and resources aligned with the needs and goals of GYO teacher pathway participants. Facilitates engaging and supportive cohort sessions focused on academic progress, practical skill development, and professional growth. Provides meeting dates, times, and locations to LEA partners with advance notice to support staffing and coverage planning. Ensures all requirements from the CREW grant and PREP GYO Allotment are fulfilled from the IHE and LEA. Coordinates with ISD and school leadership to identify real-time, on-the-job learning experiences that align with the competencies of GYO teacher pathways. Maintains strong relationships with school and district partners to monitor participant progress and ensure alignment with district workforce needs. Encourages innovative strategies to support aspiring teachers' success and strengthen district talent pipelines. Monitors and tracks progress of apprentices and their mentoring educators. Advocates for the success of aspiring teachers by elevating concerns, removing barriers, and ensuring equitable access to supports. Provides individualized coaching related to workplace challenges, academic expectations, and progression toward full teacher certification. Tracks participant progress and proactively addresses academic, personal, or professional concerns using collaborative data systems. Connects GYO pathway participants with institutional, district, and community resources that support retention, academic persistence, and successful program completion. Guides participants in accessing admissions, financial aid, tutoring, advising, and wraparound supports. Offers coaching on time management, study strategies, and academic planning. Ensures program activities meet all requirements for the GYO teacher pathway model, including state, school district, and funder expectations. Accurately tracks participation hours, progress toward competencies, and completion of required learning experiences. Assists with data collection and documentation needed for reporting, eligibility, and program integrity. Serves as the liaison between collaborating organizations (LEA, IHE, workforce partners) and technical assistance provider. Ensures the collaborative meets all deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements outlined in the annual work plan. Coordinates communication across partners, ensuring materials, updates, and expectations are shared in a timely manner. Organizes internal collaborative meetings, collect partner feedback, and support continuous improvement efforts. Monitors the collaborative's progress toward program milestones and escalate challenges that could affect implementation, quality, or compliance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
