Job description

Position Summary:

The physician will review medical records, conduct detailed TBI evaluations, assess residual functional impairments, and complete VA-required documentation. No prescribing, treatment planning, or follow-up care is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
  • Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
  • Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
  • Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
  • Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
  • Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified in Neurology
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.
