Description
The Digital Content Creator supports the Senior Digital Content Manager, Lead Digital Content Writer and ICC Communications team with the development of high-quality copy for websites, marketing materials, communications and other digital vehicles. The ideal candidate is able to juggle many different tasks and projects smoothly, efficiently, and with a positive attitude. He/she is highly organized, creative and flexible, and willing to assist other communications team members when needed.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Ø Creating and distributing Industry Digest newsletter (1x week)
Ø Assisting in researching/editing/writing & coordinating delivery of bylines for earned media
Ø Researching/editing/interviewing/writing & coordinating delivery of Building Safety Journal articles
Ø Writing staff email from HR (monthly)
Ø Researching/editing/writing original content for websites (including employee directory)
Ø Executing email marketing initiatives for internal clients
Ø Reviewing the Weekly Roundup internal newsletter
Ø Monitoring the ICC Communications inbox
Ø Writing and distributing employee newsletter (monthly)
Ø Writing, editing & distributing monthly talking points for ICC Board of Directors
Ø Supporting writer for ICC Annual Conference scripts
Ø Lead writer of talking points for keynote speeches for C-suite
Ø Lead writer of Building Safety Month webpages & materials (and process Building Safety Month proclamations)
Ø Proofreading & editing all department content including eblasts
Ø Special assignments as needed (ICC Pulse Podcast, etc.)
Essential Skills and Education/Experience:
Ø 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Ø Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Ø Knowledge of design and visual principles with the ability to evaluate design choices critically, keeping the customer in mind.
Ø Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ø Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several multifaceted projects and correlating deadlines at once.
Ø Excellent proofreading skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task.
Ø Familiarity with AP style.
Ø Experience with Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Monday.com and WordPress
Ø Experience in basic video production a plus.
Ø Be able to take feedback and make necessary changes as requested by client/stakeholder/manager
Ø Must be able to work full-time (Remote position)
Physical Requirements:
Ø Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk
Ø Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies
Ø Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment
Ø Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents)
Ø Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials
Ø Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
Ø May need to climb stairs in multi-level office building
Ø Ability to travel up to 20% annually

Ø Indoor office environment
Ø Must be able to work in standard office environment with artificial lighting and climate control

$65,000 - $75,000
