Job description

Position Type: W2, Full Time

Location: Remote / Work from Home (Must reside in Utah. Utah County or Salt Lake County preferred).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active CPA License in good standing. A CPA is mandatory for our business structure. No exceptions.
  • 5+ years of complex tax planning and preparation experience, with a heavy focus on high-earning professionals and small-to-midsized business owners.
  • Deep knowledge of entity structuring, multi-state taxation, and advanced wealth-preservation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills; the ability to break down complex tax strategies into clear, actionable advice for busy professionals.
  • Secure, dedicated home office infrastructure to handle sensitive financial data remotely.

How to Apply: If you are looking to step away from corporate metrics or the constant hustle of marketing your own firm, we’d love to connect. Please submit the following:

  • Your current resume.
  • A brief summary of your experience managing complex tax portfolios for high-earning individuals or business owners.
  • A quick, high-level example of a proactive tax strategy you recently implemented that saved a client significant money.

About the Opportunity

We are a growing professional company looking to hire an in-house Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Tax Strategist.

We routinely work with high-earning professionals—specifically dentists, doctors, and medical practice owners—who require proactive, sophisticated tax planning rather than just reactive, year-end filing. We want to find a trusted accountant who can confidently handle these high-value clients.

If you view tax code as a puzzle to solve rather than just a form to fill out, and you are think out-of-the-box compared to a, slow-moving firm, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Tax Strategy & Planning: Work closely with referred clients to design, implement, and maintain forward-thinking tax strategies that legally minimize their tax liabilities and maximize wealth retention.
  • Specialized Consultation: Conduct deep-dive strategy sessions with high-earning individuals and medical/dental practice owners to analyze entity structuring, retirement plan optimization, and specialized deductions.
  • Annual Tax Compliance: Oversee and execute the accurate preparation and filing of complex federal and state tax returns for individuals (1040) and business entities (S-Corps, LLCs, Partnerships).
  • Proactive Advisory: Stay ahead of shifting tax legislation and proactively communicate how changes will impact our referred clients' financial landscapes.

The Ideal Profile

  • The "Strategist" Mindset: You don't just look at what happened last year; you look 3 to 5 years into the future. You pride yourself on finding creative, aggressive (yet fully compliant) loopholes and strategies that standard CPAs miss.
  • Niche Experience: You have a proven track record working with high-net-worth individuals, specifically doctors, dentists, and specialized medical professionals. You understand the unique financial moving parts of a medical practice.
  • Agile & Growth-Minded: You thrive in a nimble, fast-growing company environment rather than a massive, slow-moving corporation. Free from rigid corporate bureaucracy and traditional billable-hour metrics, you can focus 100% of your energy on providing white-glove, highly responsive service.
  • Personable & Relationship-Driven: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and building long-term trust. You excel at maintaining a warm, consultative approach with high-value clients and understand that keeping meticulous, detailed notes on their profiles is key to delivering a seamless, highly personalized experience.

What We Offer

  • Stable Salary: Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with a reliable, guaranteed salary. Forget about marketing, networking, or chasing down leads, we handle 100% of client acquisition, funneling vetted, high-earning medical and dental professionals directly to your desk.
  • Clear Income Growth: Enjoy the stability of a $6,000/month starting salary during your first 3 months while you undergo training and maintain a light client load. As your portfolio and mastery of our processes grow, your salary will scale upward within your first year.
  • A Manageable, Scalable Workload: We want you to succeed for the long haul. You will start with a light, comfortable client load, giving you the breathing room to master our processes before gradually growing your portfolio.
  • Long-Term Career Stability: We aren't looking for a temporary freelancer; we are looking for a foundational, long-term member of our team. While the company retains ownership of the client relationships, you will be the trusted, primary face of their tax strategy.
  • Comprehensive W2 Benefits: We invest in our team's well-being. Following a standard probationary period, you will be eligible for competitive health insurance coverage and a company retirement plan to support your future.
