SIMOS is hiring for a Print Technician - Laser Machine Operator position in New Kensington, PA for an industry leader in promotional products and decorative service. In this role, you will be working with two computer screens and machines that laser, print, and stamp designs on products utilizing a helix machine that usus CMYK digital inkjet methods. This modernized warehouse facility operates with cutting edge digital technology. This position is ideal for anyone looking for a career in the digital arts industry and has a great eye for detail. We currently have positions available for 2nd shift (4:00PM-12:00AM) Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime includes working some Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains understanding of the equipment and production & manufacturing operating procedures
  • Operates digital decorating equipment, which includes set-up, operation, teardown and some maintenance
  • Conducts adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications
  • Performs checks for compliance to customer specifications and quality standards and on-time delivery
  • Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when problem solving, analyzing potential solutions and use good sound judgment to make decisions
  • Adheres to safe work practices as indicated in the policy manual

  • Background or experience in art preferred (graphic design, tattoo artist, etc.)
  • Previous industrial manufacturing machine operation a plus (CNC, Silk screen print press, lathe, etc.)
  • Great computer comprehension, use of dual monitors
  • Fast paced environment
  • Stand on feet for long periods at a time
  • Use of dollies and pallet jacks
  • Capable of lifting up to 45lbs
  • Machine experience preferred, specifically with machines that were manually changed or formatted
  • Associates will be trained, be prepared to learn
