Temporary summer jobs are short-term employment opportunities available primarily during the summer months. These positions are often designed for students or individuals seeking seasonal work, and can be found in industries like hospitality, retail, recreation, camps, and agriculture. Temporary summer jobs provide valuable work experience, income, and sometimes opportunities for future employment or skill development.

What types of tasks and responsibilities can I expect in a temporary summer job?

Temporary summer roles typically involve project-based or seasonal tasks that support full-time staff during peak periods. Responsibilities can range from administrative duties, customer service, and event support to hands-on work in fields like hospitality, retail, or outdoor labor. We're currently looking for Full-Time Evening Team Members who are ready to bring energy, positivity, and care to everything they do. This position does require a minimum of one weeknight and every weekend availability (both Friday and Saturday availability, although will only be scheduled for one of those nights each week, based on the needs of the business).

As a Front of House Team Member, you'll be the face of our restaurant-creating memorable experiences for every guest. That might look like:

  • Preparing drinks, desserts, and bagging orders with accuracy
  • Keeping the restaurant clean, stocked, and running smoothly
  • Working as part of a fast-paced, supportive team
  • Making real connections with guests-not just transactions
What We're Looking For

  • Friendly, positive, and people-focused
  • Reliable and willing to work hard
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player who can also take initiative
  • Open to learning and growing
Schedule & Expectations
  • Full-time evenings (3:00 PM - 10:30 PM availability)
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather (sun, rain, snow)
  • Must be able to work at both Draper and South Towne locations as needed
Perks of the Job

We take care of our team because you take care of our guests:

  • Flexible scheduling (and we're always closed on Sundays )
  • Competitive pay ($14+ per hour to start)
  • Free/discounted break food
  • Paid uniform
  • VASA gym membership
  • Scholarship & tuition reimbursement opportunities
  • Referral bonuses
  • Fun team parties and a positive work environment
  • Real growth opportunities with experienced leadership
Basic Requirements
  • 16 years or older
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift 30+ lbs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willing to commit to at least 6 months at our store location (we do not hire for temporary/summer work)
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Obtain a Food Handler's Permit if hired
  • Maintain professional appearance (uniform standards apply)
A Quick Note

Each Chick-fil-A restaurant is independently owned and operated. That means our team here in Draper and South Towne Marketplace is run by local leadership who truly cares about the people who work here. If you're looking for a job where you'll be supported, challenged, and appreciated-this might be the perfect fit. We'd love to meet you.

If we feel you are a good fit you'll be invited to schedule a PHONE interview where we then call you. If you pass the phone interview then you'd be invited to schedule an IN-PERSON interview. If hired, you would complete all necessary paperwork (including needing a copy of your driver's license) and then scheduled for an off-site three-hour paid orientation.
