Job description

TYPE OF POSITION:

Hourly; Part-time, 10-month position

Work hours vary based on school assignment and student/program needs (15 hours per week- 10:00-1:00pm)

Location: 5800 Ridgewood Rd, St Cloud, MN 56303

REPORTS TO:

Building Principals, Immediate Supervisor

SUPERVISION:

None

SALARY:

$17.00/hr (starting salary for new hires)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
ย ย ย  High School Diploma or G.E.D. Diploma
ย ย ย  Basic First Aid training within 3 months of hire date

Preferred
ย ย ย  Bilingual
ย ย ย  Basic First Aid experience or certification

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student Support Paraeducator is responsible for maintaining an orderly and safe environment by ensuring students are engaged in appropriate activities and are not interfering with other students or district employees in the performance of their responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintain a Structured Environment
ย ย ย  Observe student behavior in structured and/or unstructured areas, both inside and outside of the building
ย ย ย  Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students and staff
ย ย ย  Keep administration informed of problems and concerns within assigned areas of responsibility
ย ย ย  Follow all district and site procedures regarding student discipline



Reports, Records, and Information
ย ย ย  Maintain assigned records
ย ย ย  Maintain confidentiality of student records and information
ย ย ย  Complete follow-up actions relating to assigned records
ย ย ย  Provide relevant information to staff upon request

PHYSICAL FACTORS:
