Job description

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To assist the route driver with product deliveries to retail accounts safely, quickly and efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Route Driver with delivery of product to customers.
Unload product to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Stock product and displays in accounts as directed.
Rotate back room stock on a first in, first out basis to guarantee product freshness while stocking shelves and coolers.
Assist in resets of accounts per schematics.
Assist in securing the best possible position for our products in every account.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe and secure work area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
One year warehouse, loading or stocking experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to safely lift and handle up to 55- pound case of beer frequently.
Must be able to safely lift and handle a 160 pound ½ barrel of beer occasionally.
Must be able to safely guide a loaded hand truck of product up or down stairs with loads up to 275 pounds frequently.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be dependable and trustworthy.
Must be able to take direction well from various staff levels.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with limited notice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be customer service oriented.
Excellent listening skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Bilingual, Spanish fluency a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position requires a self-motivated, high energy individual who is able to work quickly, accurately and effectively with a sense of urgency about getting work done in a safe manner while maintaining a high level of quality service. This position involves strenuous work requiring sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, pivot twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling and balancing. Must be able to work outdoors and in wet and cold (below freezing) weather. Must provide own work boots (steel-toed preferred). This is a temporary union position that requires the individual to join the union and be available on-call, on an as-needed basis. Typical work hours start as early as 5:00am, though usually no later than 7:00am, Monday-Friday. Pay Rate is $17.00 per hour. Must have own work boots.
