Allure of Zion Supportive Living & Memory Care

Allure of Zion is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. In this role, you will help provide nutritious meals and a positive dining experience for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide supports the Dietary Department by assisting with food preparation, meal service, cleaning, sanitation, and stocking duties. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive quality meals while maintaining compliance with food safety, infection control, and sanitation standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service
  • Prepare food items as assigned and assist the cook as needed.

  • Handle and store food using proper food safety procedures.

  • Gain knowledge of resident diets, menus, and special dietary needs.

  • Ensure tray preparation follows prescribed menus and accommodates resident preferences whenever possible.

  • Serve meals in the dining room and assist residents as appropriate.

  • Clear dining room tables and sanitize surfaces after meals.

  • Prepare and distribute snacks to nursing units as needed.

Delivery & Stocking
  • Assist with meal tray delivery and collection.

  • Stock food and supply storage areas.

  • Bring inventory from storage areas as needed.

  • Restock supplies and follow departmental schedules for inventory management.

Cleaning & Sanitation
  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.

  • Clean and sanitize carts, food preparation areas, and workstations.

  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen, dining room, and pantry areas.

  • Clean appliances, equipment, freezers, shelves, walls, and baseboards as needed.

  • Remove garbage and recycling promptly and appropriately.

  • Ensure the kitchen, dining room, and pantry remain clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety, life safety, infection control, and sanitation policies and procedures.

  • Record food and equipment temperatures according to department schedules.

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and facility regulations regarding food service operations.

  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or supply shortages promptly.
