Assists the Tennis Camp Director with tennis instruction and camp activities for boys and girls ages 5-12. Provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment while leading youth in tennis skills and camp activities. Delivers excellent customer service, supervises participants, and supports daily camp operations. Previous tennis experience required. Must be at least 16 years of age.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents of this class; employees may be assigned duties which are not listed below; reasonable accommodations will be made as required. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists the Tennis Camp Director with tennis instruction and camp activities for boys and girls ages 5-12
  • Leads and supervises youth in a safe, fun, and supportive camp environment
  • Provides quality tennis instruction and excellent customer service
  • Supports daily camp operation and activities
  • Previous tennis experience required; must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in tennis and/or tennis instruction and working with youth in a camp setting.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to lead and direct youth in tennis instruction and other camp activities.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Position requires previous experience in tennis and general knowledge of recreation programming.

CERTIFICATIONS(S)/LICENSES REQUIRED:

CPR and First Aid Certification.

EMPLOYMENT TESTING:
Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing and criminal background investigation.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, morning and afternoon shifts available.

Camp staff training will start May 25, 2026.

Summer Camp will run June 1 - August 7, 2026.

Hiring Range: $12.50 - $14.50, hourly.
