Description

We are seeking experienced Cybersecurity Analysts to work on-site in Tampa, FL.

Note: Due to the nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer remote or telecommute options. Candidates should be prepared to work on-site full-time.

This position follows a Panama schedule, which includes 12-hour shifts. The schedule provides employees with a three-day weekend every other week and rotates between day and night shifts approximately every 12 weeks. Night-shift rotations are eligible for shift differential compensation.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

Utilize experience with a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform. Splunk experience is preferred; equivalent SIEM experience will also be considered.

Develop and optimize complex Splunk queries using Search Processing Language (SPL) to analyze security data and support threat detection efforts.

Design dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into security events, trends, and key performance indicators.

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Splunk infrastructure, including data inputs, parsing, field extractions, and enrichment processes.

Leverage Splunk Enterprise Security to develop security use cases, correlation searches, and threat detection capabilities.

Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents, and anomalies to identify and prioritize cyber threats.

Utilize Trellix Endpoint Security Solutions (formerly HBSS) to identify and mitigate known threats.

Collaborate with IT, network, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security solutions and strengthen overall security posture.

Conduct root cause analysis, incident triage, forensic investigations, and post-incident reviews.

Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and reports detailing security findings and recommended remediation actions.

Effectively communicate technical concepts and security-related findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Stay current with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Maintain a strong understanding of SIEM concepts, security monitoring, and Splunk administration.

Provide recommendations for improving security controls, threat detection capabilities, and operational effectiveness.

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional cybersecurity experience.

Active DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher) prior to start date.

Experience working with a SIEM platform.

Ability to collaborate across teams to investigate security incidents and improve organizational security posture.

Working knowledge of network security technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network access controls.

Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat detection, vulnerabilities, encryption, and security audits.

Willingness to work a Panama schedule, including 12-hour shifts and rotating day/night schedules.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
