Role Overview
We are seeking a Tier III Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to join a highly collaborative infrastructure team. This role supports both day-to-day operations and strategic projects, requiring a hands-on Microsoft administrator with deep expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID. The ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing operational support with automation and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Administration platforms.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory 2016 environments, including user/group administration, OUs, GPOs, and mailboxes.
  • Support identity lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and account governance.
  • Serve as a Tier III escalation point for complex Microsoft infrastructure issues, working through ServiceNow queues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced PowerShell automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Automate repetitive tasks such as user provisioning, group management, mailbox administration, and reporting.
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization projects, including migrations, upgrades, and process improvement efforts.
  • Create technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of recent Systems Administrator experience.
  • Strong administration experience with Active Directory 2016+, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting experience with the ability to build complex automation solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with security groups, shared mailboxes, RBAC, and identity administration.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow for incidents, requests, and operational support.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a regulated industry such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Utilities, or Government.
  • Experience with Microsoft security and compliance tools.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks, APIs, and infrastructure scripting.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft environments.
  • Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.
