About this Job Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections - Corrections Services www.doc.louisiana.gov This position is in the Office of Reentry and Education. This is an opportunity for you to become part of a dedicated team supporting public safety, where professionalism, resilience, and teamwork are essential. This position serves as the primary liaison between headquarters administration, correctional facilities, parish jails, educational partners, technology vendors, and contracted service providers to ensure successful implementation of education initiatives that support offender education and reentry. The incumbent researches emerging educational technologies and programs, develops implementation plans, coordinates statewide training, manages educational technology resources, monitors program compliance, and provides recommendations regarding new educational initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR An advanced degree in a social science field, public health, counseling, social work, rehabilitation services, business, public, or health administration, or Juris Doctorate plus one year of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Coordinates statewide implementation of new educational and reentry programs utilizing educational technology and online learning platforms. Research educational technologies, software, equipment, and delivery models to determine feasibility and compatibility with departmental educational programming.

Develops implementation plans for new education programs, identifying required hardware, software, licensing, training, staffing, and operational needs for administrative approval. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: JOB APPOINTMENT A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment. This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process.

If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment. Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire. Other Important Information: IMPORTANT: In the supplemental questions section, applicants must authorize the HR Office of DPS&C-Corrections Services to contact prior employers to check references under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), to be considered for employment, by answering 'YES' to the PREA question.
