An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to work in a retail and long-term care (LTC) setting, providing essential medication management and patient care services. This role offers 24 to 30 hours per week during daytime hours, with a schedule designed to support work-life balance and professional growth. The position is temp-to-hire, providing the potential for long-term employment upon successful completion of the temporary phase.
Location: Hartford, CT
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation every 4th week
Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a retail and LTC environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
  • Utilize pharmacy computer systems, including Retail Liberty and LTC Frameworks, to manage patient records and medication orders
  • Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and adherence
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Participate in weekend rotations as scheduled

  • Valid Connecticut pharmacy license required
