Job description

Position:  Choral/Show Choir 

 Evaluated by:  Principal/Assistant Principal

Location:  Poca High School

Salary Range: Microsoft Word - Profesional Salary Annual Schedule 2024-25 (core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com) based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.

Job Description:  The High School Choral/Show Choir Teacher is assigned to deliver a comprehensive vocal music program in accordance with state law and West Virginia Board of Education and county policies and regulations.

 Qualifications: Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for music at the grade levels applicable to this assignment (9-12).  Agrees to extra-duty assignment as show choir director.  Qualifies or agrees to qualify as a "Highly Qualified Teacher".

Length of Employment:   200 Days

Responsibilities:  The Choral/Show Choir Teacher shall have duties as outlined in the job description.
