Job description

Reno Staffing is looking for test operators for an electronics and hardware manufacturer located in the Carson City area!


Do you consider yourself meticulous and analytical? Do you have experience testing electronics? If so, this may be the perfect position for you!

Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. Voluntary overtime on Saturdays!
Pay: $23.50/hr. Temp to Hire
Location: Carson City, NV 89706-Own transportation required
Summary: We are looking for a dependable and motivated Test Operator to support our Board testing process. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, detail-oriented, has to be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment. Will be responsible for operating test equipment and have exposure to basic computer systems, documenting results, and assisting with board-level testing and cleaning tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Operate test equipment and Windows-based computer systems to perform board-level testing.
  • Follow detailed instructions, standard operating procedures, and checklists consistently.
  • Perform basic cleaning, inspection, and preparation of electronic boards before testing.
  • Document test results, anomalies, and production data clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members and escalate issues when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the testing area.
  • Use time efficiently and remain focused during repetitive or structured tasks.
  • Lift and move components or equipment up to 20 pounds safely.
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.


Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, simple Excel forms, PDF viewers)
  • Ability to follow step-by-step procedures and document work clearly.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, test procedures, and technical concepts.
  • High attention to detail, patience, and accountability.


Preferred Experience (Not Required):
  • Experience with board-level debugging , Server HW building and exposure to Linux operating system.
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices.
  • Exposure to test management tools and applications.
