Job description

Duties * Perform a wide variety of budget functions involving the analysis, justification, and execution of Agency and Command-wide budgets for Operating Agency 22 (OA-22). * Perform a variety of readiness and operations support functions for organization. * Develop budget/program processes, procedures and guidance for executing financial management plans and programs. * Provide financial advisory services for assigned segment of the agency budget. * Serve as expert planner, analyst, and advisor to agency management on program cost analysis, annual/multi-year and long-range fiscal/program planning, and/or commercial issues for key programs. Requirements Conditions of employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Incumbent subject to a One-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. * This position is designated Non-Critical Sensitive requiring a Secret security clearance. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as a condition of employment. * This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time. * Requires a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program. If not already certified at this level, the incumbent of this position must obtain this certification within two (2) years of entry on duty. * Eligible for situational Telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework". Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
