Unarmed Security Guard – Temporary Assignment

Position Summary


We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Guard to provide a visible security presence and conduct routine patrols of a commercial property. The ideal candidate will be observant, dependable, and capable of documenting incidents while maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants and visitors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous patrols of the entire underground parking garage, ensuring all levels are inspected during each patrol.
  • Patrol all building stairwells, including both stairwells located on each side of the building.
  • Monitor the building lobby, including the vestibule entrance on the 16th Street side.
  • Identify and politely request that unauthorized individuals or loiterers leave the property.
  • Contact local law enforcement when situations cannot be resolved safely or require police intervention.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or security breaches.
  • Take clear photo documentation of any incidents, property damage, safety concerns, or unusual conditions.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate shift logs documenting patrols, observations, and any actions taken.
  • Follow the established patrol schedule and complete all designated security checkpoints during each shift.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous interactions with tenants, visitors, and property management.


Qualifications

  • Previous security experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to walk and patrol multiple levels of a parking garage, stairwells, and common areas throughout the shift.
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergency situations.
