HIRING IMMEDIATELY: QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR IN BRIGHTON, CO

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Brighton, Colorado. This individual will be responsible for aiming to ensure that the product and service provided is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Starting at $57,784-$60,000/year
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Graveyard shift: 12 am - 9 am Full Time Schedule
  • Located in Brighton, Colorado

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assigns duties to employees and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations
  • Promotes a positive work environment while also being a team builder
  • Work closely with staff to ensure that quality and productivity requirements are maintained and communicated to each associate
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations in the Quality Control Department for all shifts
  • Ensure that all quality control programs and procedures are being implemented correctly
  • Ensure compliance to Federal, State, and local regulations. (FDA, USDA, Etc.)
  • Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming materials
  • Assist other warehouse floor supervisors and associates in warehouse policies, departmental procedures, and job duties
  • Supervise warehouse products for Quality Control
  • Enforce plant quality standards
  • Increase awareness and continual evaluation of GMP's
  • Ensure that safety rules, production, and sanitation standards are met
  • Assist and maintain high quality of service by enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Working Knowledge of MSDS
  • Working Knowledge of HACCP Principles
  • Monitor, enforce, and support further development of HACCP program
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Including but not limited to: failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
  • Follow up on customer concerns/complaints, examines discrepancy reports, and provides resolutions to restore and promote good public relations with the client
  • Follow all food Safety Requirements' and Good Manufacturing Practices as applicable to this position
  • All other duties as assigned by QC Management

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of quality control experience in a food distribution or food warehouse environment, with knowledge of food safety standards, product inspections, and quality compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and supervise all warehouse data entry programs as directed by the Quality Control Manager
  • High level of computer and GOLD system literacy
  • Some college level training is preferred but not necessary so long as there is experience in warehouse supervision and some experience in the wholesale industry preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to work any shift in support of business needs
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Some college level management education and/or 2 years Quality Control/Production Supervisor experience in wholesale industry
  • Increased Knowledge and Experience in SQF, HACCP, and GMP Principles.
  • Certifications Preferred
  • Possess or be willing to obtain within the first 3 months, the following certifications include: HACCP Certification, Seafood HACCP, Food Defense PCQI Certification SQF Practitioner
  • Basics in Internal Auditing
  • Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office, Excel and GOLD system literacy
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce
