Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Technician to support laboratory operations and product development activities in Rocky Hill, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in chemistry, materials science, or a related scientific discipline who enjoy hands-on laboratory work in a collaborative research and development environment.

Working independently and alongside scientists and chemists, you will prepare adhesive formulations, perform laboratory testing, document results, and help ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Scientific technicians commonly support formulation, testing, equipment maintenance, and accurate laboratory documentation in R&D and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare adhesive formulations according to established laboratory procedures.

  • Perform chemical, physical, and mechanical testing on formulated samples.

  • Accurately document experimental data using laboratory information systems.

  • Record observations and communicate test results to scientists and technical staff.

  • Read and follow work instructions, laboratory procedures, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

  • Troubleshoot routine laboratory challenges to support project timelines.

  • Operate curing and dispensing equipment used for adhesive preparation and testing.

  • Maintain calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.

  • Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.

  • Utilize computer systems to prepare internal and external laboratory test reports.

  • Support additional laboratory and project activities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related scientific field required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Ability to interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical test data.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, chemists, and cross-functional project teams.
