JOB ROLES:

Assistinprovidingleadershipandcoordinationtodeliveranalignedandarticulatedinstructionalprograminall subject areas in PK-12.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Texas Teaching certification required
  • Minimum of three years of exemplary teaching
  • Master’sdegree inCurriculum and Instruction(preferred)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of SST Schools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers
  • Ability to coordinate a district-wide program
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify performance gaps
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Leadershipskills tocoach teacherson effectiveinstructional strategies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Instructional and Program Management
  • Collaborateandassistinthereview,development,andrevisionofallcoresubjectareaprogramsandrelated curriculum documents and materials, including curriculum guides, course outlines, and teaching plans.
  • Workcooperativelywithcoordinators,campusadministrators,andteachersindevelopinginstructional programs in all core subjects.
  • SupportInstructionalLeadershipTeams(ILT)forplanning,development,andproductionofcurriculummaterials, processes, and best practices that are evaluated and acknowledged to be highly effective in improving student outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum-based assessments in all core subject areas
  • Supportcoordinatorswithdataanalysisreflectingcurrentstudentperformanceorotherdataasneededtoexamine curriculum and instruction program effectiveness.
  • Assistin creatinginstructional materials tosupport staff inaccomplishing program goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of ordering instructional materials, supplemental supports, and supplies
Staff Development
  • Conductandcollaboratewithcoordinatorsonstaffdevelopmentsessions,includingsessionsonthedeliveryof instruction, enriched learning in classroom settings, and new instructional practices in all core subject areas.
  • Observeclassroominstructionandprovidefeedbackandassistancetoclassroomteacherstofacilitateimprovementand innovation.
  • Demonstrate teaching strategies with teachers in professional development settings.
  • Attendand presentthe mostcurrent curriculumstaff development.
  • Assistin providing resourcesand materials tosupport staff inaccomplishing program goals.
Other
  • Useeffective communicationskills topresent informationaccurately and clearly.
  • Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required.
  • Assist with the evaluation and selection of supplemental equipment and supplies for the program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
