Job description

Job Description We're hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our West Houston, TX area client. We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately. DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB: Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Location: West Houston, TX Pay: $18-$22/hour DOE Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-5:00 PM Duration: Temp-to-Hire Description of Duties: Conduct visual, dimensional, and in-process inspections to verify product quality and conformance.

Review fabrication drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure project requirements are met. Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to identify, communicate, and resolve quality concerns. Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and report findings to quality leadership.

Verify compliance with internal quality procedures, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards. Monitor material traceability documentation and maintain accurate weld mapping records. Coordinate inspection schedules and communicate upcoming hold points and witness requirements.

Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection status and quality metrics. Conduct welder and fitter evaluations as needed. Identify nonconforming materials or workmanship and assist in implementing corrective actions.

Support quality initiatives across multiple fabrication areas and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment. High school diploma or GED required.

Working knowledge of welding, fabrication processes, inspection methods, and nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques. Familiarity with fabrication codes, industry standards, and material specifications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Comfortable using computers for documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with production personnel and management. Ability to qualify through an internal welder inspection program.

Experience working across multiple shop functions, including fit-up, welding, piping, or assembly, is a plus.
