Job description

Temporary School Bus Driver

Called as needed. Under direct supervision of the School Principal or Designee and Transportation Director, the employee will transport students to and from school as assigned when the regular bus driver is not available; observes all State Laws and District policies related to driving school buses and carries out required safety inspections.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Maintain effective work relationships; Valid Driver's License and DMV clearance; Safe Driving Record; Knowledge of North Carolina laws and regulations pertaining to the driving of a school bus; Must qualify for a state of North Carolina license to drive a school bus; Maintain student and staff confidentiality; Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills; Display appropriate interpersonal skills with staff, students, and parents; Pre-employment physical required.
