Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, versatile, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a consistent daytime schedule.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player capable of handling physical inbound tasks—such as unloading trailers—while accurately managing outbound shipping logistics in a fast-paced environment. No forklift experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbound Logistics: Unload incoming freight trailers, verify merchandise counts, and stage products safely by hand.
  • Order Fulfillment: Verify shipping information and prepare outbound orders for distribution.
  • Shipping Systems: Generate and apply shipping labels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carrier software.
  • Carrier Processing: Process shipments through UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL freight providers.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate physical and digital shipment records and paperwork.
  • Warehouse Flexibility: Support general warehouse operations, cross-training in different departments as needed.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized work areas compliant with safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or 3PL experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform physical warehouse tasks, including unloading bulk freight.
  • Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating standard shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and heavy lifting.
  • Comfort working in a warehouse environment with varying seasonal temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends depending on freight volume.
