Job description

Position Summary:
Training for sales position while running vacation routes for specified number of routes. To aggressively sell and distribute all brands and packages carried by Eagle Distributing Company, and to follow the specific guidelines developed by Eagle Distributing Company concerning the selling, rotation and delivery of its products.
Normal Hours of Work: 50 to 55 hours average per week
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
To service and aggressively sell customers according to route specifications set up by the vacationing sales person.
To maintain a good working rapport with all customers.
To maintain existing shelf space for all brands and packages.
To understand and adhere to Eagle Distributing Company's code date policy.
To merchandise through displays and paper P.O.S. daily.
To maintain daily sales figures and current general information data in the hand unit.
To report all competitive activities and problems to the appropriate Team Leader.
To attend all company sales meetings unless excused for vacation, illness, or personal reasons by appropriate supervisory personnel.
To wear proper Eagle Distributing Company uniform and be neat and clean in appearance daily.
To maintain a clean company vehicle - inside and out - while handling vacation routes or other temporary route duties.
Report all accidents or mechanical problems with your vehicle immediately to the Fleet Manager.
Any other items as assigned by appropriate supervisory personnel.
Position Requirements:
Exceptional customer service and satisfaction is a priority.
Ability to communicate and interact with all employees.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality for all company related information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Integrity of word and action
Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Organizational and planning skills.
A strong in store experience in building sales through consistent merchandising standards, merchandise presentation skills, and the ability to identify business-building opportunities
Physical Requirements:
The position requires exposure to all seasonal weather conditions, traffic noise, automotive fumes and cramped quarters. The ability to read, understand merchandise pricing and demonstrate basic math skills related to the same are also required of this position.
