THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN MARYSVILLE, CA

  • Job Title: Travel Histology Technologist

    Location: Marysville, CA
    Assignment Type: (Temporary Contract)
    Shift: Day Shift | Mondayโ€“Friday | 7:30 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Histology Technologist who thrives in a fast-paced laboratory environment and can work independently with precision and confidence. In this role, you will prepare high-quality tissue samples and slides critical for accurate pathological diagnosis.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tissue sections for microscopic examination (embedding, cutting, staining)

  • Perform microtomy, special stains, immunostains, and coverslipping

  • Operate and troubleshoot histology instruments and lab equipment

  • Maintain accurate, legible records and quality control documentation

  • Prepare and maintain reagents, solutions, and supplies

  • Evaluate slide quality and ensure diagnostic readiness

  • Assist with workflow coordination and maintain efficient lab operations

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and procedural standards

  • Collaborate with pathologists by delivering high-quality slides for diagnosis


Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience as a Histology Technician/Technologist

  • Strong knowledge of histology stains, techniques, and lab equipment

  • Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures

Preferred:

  • ASCP Histology Technician (HT) Certification

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Cytotechnology or related field

  • Advanced degrees (Masterโ€™s)

  • Cytology experience
