Location: Lincoln, NE

Schedule: Full-Time Days

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate and dedicated LPNs and RNs to join our nursing team at Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln, NE.

Hillcrest Firethorn is a modern post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care community located in Lincoln’s Firethorn neighborhood. With private rooms, a hospitality-focused environment, and personalized care, Firethorn is designed to help residents recover, remain engaged, and live with dignity and purpose.

At Hillcrest, our mission is simple: Inspiring people to live their best lives. We are looking for nurses who lead with compassion, clinical confidence, and accountability while helping residents feel safe, supported, and cared for throughout the night.

What You’ll Do

As an LPN/RN, you will provide direct nursing care and clinical support to residents while working closely with nursing leadership, caregivers, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

You will play an essential role in monitoring resident needs, responding to clinical changes, supporting medication and treatment routines, and helping maintain a calm, safe environment.

You will:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with resident care plans, physician orders, and Hillcrest policies and procedures.

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely within scope of practice.

  • Monitor resident conditions and report changes to appropriate clinical leadership, physicians, and family members as needed.

  • Respond calmly and effectively to resident needs, urgent situations, and changes in condition.

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation.

  • Support resident assessments, care planning, and communication with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Provide guidance and support to CNAs, medication aides, and other care team members.

  • Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life.

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and supportive care environment.

  • Follow infection control, safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for nurses who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to delivering strong clinical care in a rehabilitation and long-term care setting. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently while maintaining strong communication and teamwork during overnight hours.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Current LPN or RN license in the state of Nebraska.

  • Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, post-acute, rehabilitation, or senior living experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work well with residents, families, team members, and providers.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate documentation.

  • A calm, flexible, and professional approach in stressful situations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality care.

  • Comfort using technology and clinical resources efficiently and effectively.

  • A team-first mindset and commitment to resident-centered care.

Education & Credentials
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.

  • Active LPN or RN license in the state of Nebraska required.

  • CPR certification preferred or required based on community standards.
