Job description

Fastaff Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Gallup, New Mexico.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department
  • Discipline: RN
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 48 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Start Date: 7/27
  • Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 36 hours, 3x12H Nights or 48 12'sH
  • Looking for strong candidates who can work independently and committed to the assignment
  • Minimum Experience Required:  At least 1 year ER RN experience, critical access hospital experience preferred
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma Program is required. Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred.
  • Required Licensure/Certification(s):
    • Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico or acceptable compact state RN licensure.
    • PCU/MSP/ED/OR - Current verification in Basic Life Support required.  (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
    • PCU/MSP/ED/OR – Must complete ACLS certification within three (3) months of hire required.
    • PCU/MSP/ED/OR – Must complete PALS within six (6) months of hire required.
    • ED - Must complete NRP within 6 months of hire required.

Housing & Area Information Housing Recommendations: Safe and vetted for travelers coming into Gallup, NM:  Haven Living on the west side of Gallup. Fully furnished studio apartments. Member of the program stays here.  Approximately $1,200/month PDF below. Month to month. Need two months (total) to move in. $80/month additional for utilities, including internet. Pet friendly for extra $30 deposit.  West side of Gallup and the area around the hospital is a good area Parking: Parking lot is attached to the hospital. Daytime staff park between the hospital and the clinics. Security walks the lot. At night, since patient volume is lower, staff can park in front of the hospital. Security is 24/7.
