This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a travel nurse, you will support the healthcare team in providing intermediate-level care to patients who require closer monitoring than a medical-surgical unit but are not in critical condition.

Please note: This travel assignment is open only to candidates who are not permanent residents of Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to PCU patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and frequent assessments

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license preferred or ability to obtain Arizona licensure)

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols

Assignment Details
  • Day shift with potential weekend and holiday rotation

  • Contract length typically 13 weeks (with possible extension)

  • Competitive travel pay package including housing stipend and meal allowances

  • Opportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility in a vibrant metropolitan area

Additional Requirements
  • Must reside outside the state of Arizona and maintain a permanent residence elsewhere during the assignment

  • Compliance with all onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screening, and immunizations

Why Choose This Assignment?

This opportunity offers the chance to expand your clinical experience, explore a dynamic city, and work alongside a dedicated healthcare team while enjoying the flexibility and benefits of travel nursing.
