Job description
Location: Bedford, MA (On-site 5 days/week)
Length: 6+ Month Contract to Hire Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and evaluate system changes for security impact.
• Review system documentation, modifications, and infrastructure upgrades to ensure proper cybersecurity implementation.
• Support and observe system testing, audits, and compliance activities.
• Prepare security analyses, assurance letters, and RMF artifacts.
• Monitor emerging threats and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and advise on policies, procedures, and contingency plans.
• Assist with special projects, taskers, and external evaluations, including penetration tests and audits. Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Must hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO
• Experience with the certification and accreditation process
• Significant experience in vulnerability scanning and analysis, including automated tools and vulnerability management systems
• Knowledge of intrusion prevention and network access control tools/systems
• Understanding of system audit principles and security risk assessment
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Government security policies, including Department of Defense and relevant civil agencies (e.g., NIST)
• Ability to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
