1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:Serve as the Area Sales Manager for a Retail Mortgage Sales team. A sales team may consist of any combination of Producing Sales Managers and their sales team, as well as direct Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) reports. Active personal participation in sales efforts, supporting relationships between MLOs and integrated relationship partners within Truist for the benefit of the client. Responsible for all aspects of sales, profitability, coaching and developing sales team members to source mortgage loan opportunities from internal and external referral partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Responsible for the Area production growth through effective leadership, recruiting, retention, coaching and developing a profitable sales team.
2. Understand and communicate Mortgage Lending strategy, and policies and procedures to customers, teammates, internal and external referral sources, and the Area managed.
3. Implement area strategic direction, including but not limited to execute on new business development, deepen existing business relationships, grow market share, and drive integrated relationship management. Lead inclusive and affordable housing lending initiatives to effectively serve low-to-moderate markets.
4. Continuously improve client service quality by leading the team's adoption of digital client experience, technology, and managing the mortgage processes to enhance relationships with clients, COIs, and Truist teammates.
5. An Area Sales Manager can speak to clients for customer service purposes but cannot perform any of the following tasks:
- Take an application, offer, arrange, or assist a consumer in applying;
- Negotiate terms, or otherwise obtain or makes an extension of credit for another person;
- Represent to the public through advertising or other means of communication (including social media) that the ASM person can or will perform any of these activities.

6. Knowledge of local real estate market conditions, mortgage product and process trends, and competitive position. Provide feedback and solutions, as needed or requested, regarding mortgage lending delivery capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
2. 3+ years mortgage industry experience
3. 2+ years managerial experience
4. Strong understanding of mortgage lending and product lines; effective management of internal and external relationships and partnerships
5. Ability to manage producing sales managers and MLOs, address fulfillment productivity with operations teammates, and maintain internal and external referral sources
6. Proven ability to recruit and retain productive, engaged teammates
7. Registered and maintains an active Truist sponsored registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR) and has been assigned a unique identifier number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E. act requirements.
