Member Administration Specialist (Remote) – Temporary Assignment
Location: Remote (Approved States Only)
Expected Duration: September 2026 – March 2027 (Temporary Assignment)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Member Administration Specialists to support an insurance organization's member services team. In this role, you will provide administrative support related to member accounts, enrollment records, benefit information, and member inquiries while ensuring accuracy and exceptional service. This is a fully remote position supporting a high-volume healthcare environment during the organization's busiest enrollment and service period.
Responsibilities
- Process member enrollment, maintenance, and eligibility updates.
- Research and resolve member account issues accurately and efficiently.
- Review, update, and maintain member records in internal systems.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding benefits, coverage, ID cards, and general account information.
- Perform data entry and document processing with a high level of accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve member-related concerns.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and internal systems to manage daily workloads.
- Adhere to all quality, compliance, confidentiality, and performance standards.
- Support additional administrative functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service, administrative support, call center, insurance support, healthcare support, or related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong data entry and problem-solving skills.
Remote Work Requirements
Candidates must reside in one of the following approved states:
Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
Candidates must have:
- A dedicated, private workspace free from distractions.
- Reliable high-speed internet service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working remotely.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule as assigned.
Attendance Expectations
Attendance is critical for success in this role. Employees are expected to maintain reliable attendance throughout the assignment.
Mandatory workdays include:
- Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Requests to be off on the above dates cannot be accommodated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health insurance, healthcare administration, Medicare, Medicaid, or benefits administration.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume customer support environment.
- Experience navigating multiple systems while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
Compensation: $19/hr to $21/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
