Job description

At NorthBay Health, the Clinical Resource RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individual patient care. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. The Clinical Resource RN is an integral member of the health care team who works to ensure safety, continuity and comprehensiveness of care collaboratively with providers, administrative support staff, and the care team to improve the quality of life of our patients and their families. The nursing process will be utilized when providing patient care, to include, administering infusion protocols, monitoring patients during and after treatments, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluation; managing symptoms related to treatments.

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school or college required.
  • BSN or ADN with 5 years of experience required. Master preferred in Nursing related field. 

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current California RN license.
  • Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred, but required within 3 months of hire.
  • Telemetry experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • IV Skills required.

Experience:

  • Minimum one year of recent RN experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Recent cardiology experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing ambulatory nursing care, specifically cardiology.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Young Adult, Adult and Geriatric.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and basic computer skills required (fax, multi-line phone, copier/scanner).
  • Knowledge of Cerner desirable.
  • Knowledge of an electronic health record required.
  • Knowledge of research studies.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and professional standards in areas of responsibility. Examples include but not limited to: Regulatory compliance, Worker's Comp, OSHA.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Compensation: $73.92 to $89.06 based on years of experience doing the duties of the job.
