Temporary Communications Manager

Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week | 3-Month Contract | Remote/Hybrid | $40-50/hr

Our nonprofit client is seeking a Temporary Communications Manager to support a high-impact year-end fundraising and marketing campaign. This role combines project management, content development, digital communications, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful execution across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute year-end fundraising and communications campaigns from planning through delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and campaign workflows.
  • Create and edit content for email campaigns, newsletters, social media, web content, and donor communications.
  • Coordinate messaging across digital, print, and social media platforms.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar tools.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external partners to ensure timely execution of communications initiatives.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend content or engagement improvements.
  • Maintain consistent messaging, branding, and quality across all communications.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience developing content for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, social media management, and website content updates.
