Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to information systems and business analytics such as programming for data science and applied machine learning. Conduct research in information systems leading to publication. Advise students. Serve on faculty committees. Provide service to the university. Programming for data science: this course uses python to perform data science tasks such as extracting patterns & knowledge from a large amount of diversified data. It covers basic programming concepts in python and useful packages for data science such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and scikitlearn. Upon completing this course, students will build their programming capabilities to solve data science problems. Applied machine learning: this course focuses on learning various machine learning methods, including both supervised learning and unsupervised learning algorithms. The course provides students with an understanding of the general framework of each model and the implementation techniques using python language. The course covers several advanced performance evaluation-related topics and techniques (e.g., overfitting and cross-validation). The course demonstrates how machine learning techniques can be applied in several emerging application areas including business, healthcare, and education.

Minimum Education and Experience Preferred Education and Experience

PhD degree or completion of all degree requirements in Information Systems & Management or related field. Ability to conduct high-quality information systems research leading to publication in top journals. Ability to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to information systems.
