Job description

At Amazon, we strive to be the most customer-centric company on earth. We are seeking a dedicated ELM Project Manager to join our Central RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering) team and help us achieve this goal.
As an ELM Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end project lifecycles for new launches within our RME division. This position requires deep expertise in project management, strong technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.
This role requires up to 75% nationwide travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage the complete project lifecycle for new launches, including requirements gathering, planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and successful deployment.
- Own large-scale engineering projects from planning and design through installation, commissioning, qualification, and launch support.
- Assess and communicate project status, driving escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all stakeholders.
- Create Business Continuity and Risk Mitigation plans with site RME teams to allow seamless handover to Construction or Operations Engineering.
- Conduct resource planning and allocation for project teams.
- Support the expansion and execution of the RME qualification process, including vendor management and feedback.
- Prepare and deliver RME launch plans for new sites and support the RME field team in executing launch activities.
- Continuously aim for improved safety, equipment uptime, efficiency, cost management, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability within Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
- Knowledge of performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
