LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Project Accountant for the office in Sacramento, CA. The job is 100% in-office. The position will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and success of our construction projects. Your expertise in accounting, financial analysis, and construction project management will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to track project budgets, expenses, and revenue.
  • Monitor project costs, ensuring they align with approved budgets and industry standards.
  • Prepare accurate and timely project financial reports for management review.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to construction projects.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of project financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of project forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all project-related transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and change orders.
  • Participate in project review meetings, providing financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.is required
  • Industry experince in construction is required
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of construction project accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with a medium to large ERP accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
