TEMPORARY WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (INDEPENDENCE,OH)

THE DIFFERENCE YOU WILL MAKE
The temporary Cleveland Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for various tasks involved in the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse setting. This role typically involves receiving, unpacking, labeling, storing, and picking items according to orders. Warehouse associates may also be involved in inventory management, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and occasionally operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, reach truck to pull and prepare outbound customer orders
  • Build, wrap, sort, pick, pack, and stage customer orders
  • Load outbound delivery trucks and will calls
  • Consolidate product to maximize space utilization
  • Repackage and/or relabel products due to damages/vendor errors and returns
  • Stock received merchandise and/or movement of stock items
  • Clean the workspace as you for and participate with the team in keeping the facility clean, safe and accident-free.
  • Answer phone calls and follow-up on orders, shortages and/or mistakes.
  • Follow all Millcraft policies, procedures, and guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook and departmental SOPs
  • Ensure a safe working environment by strictly following all safety protocols and standards including reporting unsafe conditions, near-misses and incidents immediately to your manager
  • Demonstrate the Millcraft Core Values (Family, Responsible, Passion, Deliver, Aspire and FUN) in day-to-day work and interactions
  • Other duties as needed for the business.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 1+ years' warehouse experience, preferably in shipping and receiving
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience with Forklifts
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience with Pallet Jacks
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience with Reach Trucks
