Production Operator / Blender – 2nd Shift (Contract)

Location: Houston, TX (Cypress area)
Pay: $23.50 per hour
Job Type: Temporary / Contract (W-2)
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | 40 hours/week
Duration: 6 months (potential to convert to permanent)

Job Overview

Hiring Production Operators / Blenders to support manufacturing operations at our Houston, TX facility. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing, blending, and batching raw materials, operating production equipment, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a hot, dusty industrial environment and is ideal for candidates with prior blending, mixing, or batch production experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate blending and mixing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Measure, weigh, and prepare raw materials such as chemicals and pigments
  • Record batch data including ingredients, quantities, and measurements
  • Monitor batches to ensure uniformity and product consistency
  • Collect finished product samples for quality testing
  • Clean and prepare equipment between batches
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental guidelines

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience as a Production Operator, Blender, Mixer, or similar role
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. regularly
  • Comfortable working in hot and dusty environments
  • Basic math skills (weights, measurements, ratios)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
