This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Safely operate a variety of heavy and fixed plant equipment to support daily aggregate production
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure safe, reliable performance
  • Monitor material flow, production quality, and operating conditions, making adjustments as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities and maintain efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture

What Are We Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a mining environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures with high situational awareness
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Reliable and collaborative approach with clear and effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow operational procedures, adapt to changing priorities, and familiarity with MSHA regulations, with Part 46 training considered an asset

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
