Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer Job Description:

RJH is a dams engineering firm with expertise in geotechnical and water resources engineering based in Denver, Colorado. This position will be located in Denver Colorado. We specialize in delivering dam and reservoir projects from planning through construction. We are looking for a Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer to enhance the technical capabilities and capacity of our water resources team. Our ideal candidate will have specialized experience related to hydraulic and hydrologic engineering coupled with strong communication and teamwork skills.


Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer Requirements:

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, analyses, and modeling.
  • Perform design of hydraulic structures including spillways, outlet works, pipelines, channels, and pump stations.
  • Prepare reports and technical memorandum.
  • Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to travel on temporary assignments as needed.


Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Hydraulic, Hydrologic, or Water Resources Engineering.
  • 0 to 3 years of engineering experience related to water resources projects.
  • FE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS is preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and problems solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
