Position Summary

At Texas Card House, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our guests. We take pride in delivering memorable, positive experiences for every one who walks through our doors.


Our kitchen staff play a key role in ensuring the timely preparation and delivery of high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Line Cook, Line Cook, and Prep Cook all contribute to the success of the kitchen, with each role supporting different aspects of food preparation and service.


The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and ticket orders. This role involves working directly on the line, managing the timing and quality of food preparation to ensure orders are completed efficiently and to high standards.


We are hiring experienced Line Cooks for a high-volume, temporary event during Texas' first ever 'World Series of Poker' hosted at TCH Social Austin. This role requires speed, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items during peak service
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Set up, stock, and break down stations
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work efficiently with kitchen and event staff

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive hourly pay ($18 - $22/hr DOE)
  • Event-only employment (from April 23- May 4)
  • Staff meals during shifts

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
