Job description

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour
Hours: Various hours up to 19 hours per week. Afternoons, weekends as required.


JOB SUMMARY

Oversee and ensure accuracy of I.T. Department inventory, and assist the I.T. Department with various projects and summer seasonal facility support tasks.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Set up temporary I.T. equipment for presentations, meetings, and training sessions, including projectors, laptops, portable TVs, microphones, and webcams.
  • Serve as on-site support during weekend and evening special events, such as Movies in the Park, Play Picnic & Party, Halloween Fest, Dance recitals, and Theatre productions.
  • Assist with inventory and asset management; clean, organize, and maintain the I.T. Department's storage areas and training space; includes coordination of equipment disposal.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory of printer toner, ID card ribbons, blank ID cards, and other consumable supplies, and refill those supplies upon request.
  • Serve as the primary I.T. point of contact, with minimal supervision, when assigned.
  • Provide assistance when needed on special projects


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform general office tasks such as coding of expenses and billing, coordination of device rentals and training room usage, etc.
  • Provide coverage at the Administration Building front desk when other staff are unavailable.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • The general work area is indoors, in a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. Occasional outdoor work, including the use of lifts, may be required
  • Exposure to noise distraction from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas.
  • Occasional exposure to higher noise levels when working in server rooms.
  • Occasional exposure to cleaning materials and office supplies (i.e. copier toner).
  • Must work closely with co-workers.
  • Must work around the general population.
  • Subject to flexible work schedule. Summer weekend availability is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess valid IL Drivers License with good driving record


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of PCs, Chromebooks, Google G-Suite, Networking, and A/V systems
  • Organizational and time management skills are required
  • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions must be demonstrated
  • Must have the ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Professional appearance is required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of PCs, Chromebooks, and A/V systems
  • Organizational and time management skills are required
  • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions must be demonstrated
  • Must have the ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A High School diploma is required.
