Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Compounder / Blender for a vinyl graphics manufacturing facility in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire 3rd shift position paying $20/hr. In this role, you will weigh and measure raw materials - including pigments, plasticizers, stabilizers, PVC (polyvinylchloride), DIBK, and xylene - using manual and digital scales and mixing equipment in a compounding department.
Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule: 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM, plus weekend availability
Location: Placentia, CA

Responsibilities
  • Follow written QSPs (Quality Standard Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to execute compounding batches accurately.
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials in and out of the work area following safety procedures.
  • Clean pumps, tanks, and compounding equipment between batches.
  • Operate a batch mixer and related mixing equipment.
  • Document batch records and material usage as required.

Minimum Requirements
  • 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a compounding, blending, or chemical mixing role.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and basic chemical safety practices.
  • Experience reading and following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) or batch records.
  • Exposure to industrial mixing, batch processing, or formulation environments.
  • Experience with inventory tracking or basic production documentation.

Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a manufacturing environment.
  • Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
