Job Summary
Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking to hire a part-time Research Assistant/ to conduct research in pharmaceutical sciences, including drug formulation, physical-chemical characterization of drug substances, and cell and animal studies.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in biology, chemistry or relevant biomedical sciences with at least two years of laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with animal handling preferred.
Special Requirements Summary
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of computer software (Word and Excel).
Work Hours
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Proficiencies
Chemistry or relevant biomedical sciences with at least two years of laboratory experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description
Responsibilities of the position include designing experiments, keeping records, writing reports, preparing manuscripts, ordering supplies and chemicals, maintaining a clean and safe environment in the laboratory.
